Robotech SDF-1 Test Footage

The test footage is simply the SDF-1 flying out of a fold in space and over a city in various modes. If you've ever wondered what the SDF-1 would look like in a live environment, this is probably as close as we're going to get for now.

The video has been called "test footage." But test footage for what? Is this just a fan's work for fun or is there something else behind it? Keep checking the website for more details, for now enjoy the video and the stills below.

Very nice, crude fan-made clip! I'd say that this is nothing more than a fanboy assemblage, especially since the SDF-1 features the human (or Micronian if you prefer) modifications. I have been reading the rumblings of a live-action film, and while it is an exciting prospect, it kinda scares me at the same time. I can only hope they do it justice.

If I were to undertake a live-action treatment, I would go full-tilt and make it a NINE film series. That would give each generation three films to tell their story without cramping things too terribly much. Hopefully, the film won't have anything to do with The Shadow Chronicles, as that film is just a confusing, lackluster piece of tripe that makes one feel like those involved do not know or care about Robotech.
