A thread for ROBOTECH: Invasion the comic series.

I just read through 1-4(need to get #5..)

So this is the backstory of Lancer and the 10th Mars Base division.

I like some of the ideas here. Some contradict the New Generation episode(Secret Route) though.

One thing I did like is the little back story on why they ended up using Conbats instead of Alpha's

I also liked that we get to see the VR-041 use its sabers. There is one really big art gaff in issue 3 or 4 when Lancer Jumps out of the water in his VR-041 the artist did not connect the hip armor to his knee(maybe they used a Megahouse toy as reference material...)

Other than that it is enjoyable but again marred by some bad dialogue and some odd art choices. I did not care for the way Lancer looks in here,or Carla for that matter.

I will post more once I track down issue #5.

ONLY PROBLEM FOR ME WAS THE COVER ART. HATS OF TO THE ARTIST (Yoshitaka Amano) BUT THIS COVER ART I DID NOT LIKE.

I like the covers that Amano did. The others were not so good.

Finally read the last issue. Terrible. The art just kills this series for me not to mention the sub par story.
