VF1S

Every year at Comic Con Toynami releases a limited-run Robotech toy. This year it was the Stealth VF-1S of which only 1000 were made, $30+ tax later you have a decent-transforming VF-1S with booster and weapons package.

Once again at the Toynami booth, George Sohn is working hard at the registers.

Who doesn't love ENEMY MECHA! Shown in the Toynami Robotech display case is the enemy BATTLEPOD. Although it is a prototype that needs to be approved, we pretty much know it is coming!

Robotech Industry Panel

Unfortunately there was nothing new to report from the Robotech Industry Panel. Although fans were given a treat with the Carl Macek invite. That was certainly refreshing! The RLAM is still in pre-production and it looks like Shadow Rising is going to be worked on after the Live Action. According to Tommy Yune, this was a strategic move because it allowed WB to bring new fans to the franchise with the RLAM.

During a Q&A session with Carl Macek, a fan asked about his thoughts on the possible modernization of mecha in the RLAM. Carl Macek simply said that if the studios want to make it look "cool" then that is how it is going to be. A different fan wondered if Carl Macek would be willing to work on the RLAM, which he replied yes if he was asked to.

Fan Art Showcase

Finally the RobotechX Fan booth attracted old and new fans. We saw some familiar faces from last year and new ones. Many thanks once again to the fans who submitted their art work for us to display. The fans were really excited about the pieces.
