Many people think the LAM may be like Transformers battle scenes or follow a Bay/Sommers style,however one thing that gives me some confidence in Wb to pull off Robotech style epic battles is the Matrix. If you watch Matrix Revolutions , the Battle of Zion made me think of the battle of the SDF-1 against Dolza's flagship. Replace the Matrix mechs with Destroids and just imagine that style of overwhelmed gritty gun's blazing spent shell casings falling combat. I don't know about you but I would preffer it to something like the Final battle of the recent Transformers movie.
Here is an Example...go to the 2:19 mark and as the guns take aim, can't you picture a Destroid(they need some love too, not everyone pilots a Veritech) taking aim as Zentradi ships unfold and battlepods lock on....anyway you be the judge.
