Macross Frontier was created by SIGHUP

Well, so far on episode 12, I must say that I do like this series. It has tons of references to the older tv show, which is mainly why I like it.

The character development is ok and makes me want to root for the characters.

SO far so good. With images like the one above of the Macross in ruins, it keeps me going.

Well,
I was just on Ebay and I bought the complete 25 episodes of Macross Frontier.from what I read here and at RT.com I think I will like it.

As mentioned at said site,I am peeking into Macross and more than likely becoming a true Fan of Macross. But I am staying tru to Robotech but from what bits and pieces I seen from certain Macross stories on Youtube I decided to see what the hype is about.

On a side note,I was able to buy a copy of Do you remember love? online recently,so I got Macross Frontier and DYRL an if my next Payday is good,I will hunt down where to get Macross Flashback 2012.

TO ME MACROSS FRONTIER WAS A BIG RE-IMAGINED STORY OF THE ORIGINAL STORY.

I COULD NOT GET INTO THE ORIGINAL MACROSS OR MACROSS 7 AND EVEN MACROSS ZERO.

BUT WITH A RE-IMAGINE SERIES LIKE MACROSS FRONTIER IT LETS THINGS BE TAKEN IN SMOOTH.

I DID LIKE MACROSS PLUS AND 2012 THOUGHT.

BUT TO BAD BIG WEST LOST IN JAPAN TO USE SOME ELEMENTS OF MACROSS. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE THE OLD SKULL SYMBOLS AND ALL.. THEY DID MAKE KHYRON (ROBOTECH) LOOK LIKE A TOTAL WUSS.

AND ON THE SHIP.. THEY CALLED IT THE SDF GLOBAL I THINK. THEY REFRENCE A LOT OF IMAGES BUT BIG WEST PLAYS WITH IT A LITTLE TO GET BY THE LEGALITY ISSUES..

I have an extremely biased opinion since I am mostly a Macross/Macross Saga fan.

Yep, I loved every bit of Macross Frontier. I am a sucker for references to the original Macross series.

The characters are actually quite good I thought.

One of the things i get laughed at for is my liking of the character Klan.

Sure, her macronised physical atributes are obnoxious (400-DDD cup), but the character itself had a lot of depth.

Also, the comedy in the show made me very happy.

All in all, I loved it. I found the Vajra to be a very unique enemy, and a nice departure from conventional norms.

I'm looking forward to the movie.

I loved the hole series but,
did you guys notice the similarities between macross f
and Robotech new generation/ Shadow chronicles???

for example

The Vajra = The Invid

Alto = lancer
both have some sort of artistic background (playing girls)
blue hair and both pilots

The story (well in part) Macross f, fighting to get the vajra home world to make it their own =
In Robotech they were trying to get their home world back from the Invid

weapons
macross developed new bombs that could destroy half a planet but with no side effects =
Robotech they were developing the neutron s missile but with a big side effect (black hole)

stealth
Macross: singing made the fighters almost invisable to the Vajra
Robotech: shadow technology to make the fighters invisable to the Invid

well you get the idea...

Dont get me wrong I'm a big Macross Fan
and I like Macross F so much
but it was almost too similar

COULD HAVE SHIPPED YOU THE DOWNLOAD...

YEAH, THERE ARE MANNY REFRENCES, BUT IT CANT BE HELPED.

YOU SEE, WAY BACK KAWAMORI AND HG WERE BLOWN AWAY WITH A SERIES CALLED YUKIKAZE. NOW THATS A 5 EPESODE SERIES TO WATCH. THE SELL THEM IN THE AMERICA WITH ENGLISH VOICES NOW.

HG AND KAWAMORI WENT AFTER THE SAME FEEL.

ALSO WHAT CANT BE HELPED WAS THAT ROBOTECH AND MACROSS HAVE MANNY ATTACHING ELEMNTS IN STORY AND STRUGGLE. INCLUDING MECHA.

DURING THE FINAL FIGHTS I THOUGHT I SAW IMAGES OF THAT OF NEW GENERATION IN MACROSS BUT SCENES WERE GOING TO FAST I WAS NOT SURE.

SINCE MACROSS ZERO, A REALESE THAT WENT WAY OVER BUDGET AND WAS LOOSING MONEY, SOME REPORTS IN MW WAS THAT IT EVEN WENT INTO BARGAIN BINS, WAS THAT THEY HAD TO RECAPTURE TEH MACROSS UNIVERSE THROUGH OLD FANS AND NEW FANS. SO WHAT BETTER WAY THAN TO GO BACK TO ITS ROOT'S STORY TO BRING THAT TO LIFE.

IN OTHER WORDS... RE-IMAGINED.

I HAVE TO SAY IT WORKED BECOUSE OF ALL THE SERIES OUT THERE OF MACROSS, FRONTIER TO ME IS THE BEST.

COMPARE MACROSS ZERO TO FRONTIER AND YOU WILL KNOW A HUGE DIFFENRENCE IN RECENT PRODUCTION FROM JAPAN.

SOMETHING I WILL HOPE HG DO AS WELL FROM TEH OLD MOVIE SHADOW CHRONICLES.
