Funky is right. He generally plays kind of goofy guys in dramas and Kodai is more serious. Not to mention he's getting old.

Funny...I'm getting less and less enthusiastic about it as it draws closer. The Japanese film industry occasionally makes good films, but only occasionally. I hope this will be one of them, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I will, however, fork over twenty bucks to see it when it opens (yes, movies here really ARE that expensive).

I'm with Gubaba on this one. The more I see of it, the less interested I am in it. Kimura Takuya is too old to be playing the lead. They also changed the sex of certain characters. I also don't like that Aerosmith song.. =(

Yeah, the Steven Tyler song seems kinda cheesy...an obvious attempt to make the movie seem like Armageddon. I don't really have any problems with them changing the sex of some of the characters, as long as their personalities remain basically the same... a drunk, MILF-y Dr. Sado? SOUNDS AWESOME.
