I posted this Many many moons ago on RT.com, I wanna see what you guys think...

Remember back in the day the Civil War chess set that had pewter hand made figurines of pieces from the Civil War???

Well lets do it for Robotech...Here are some of my thoughts...

Macross Saga Pieces

King - Gloval / Breetai
Queen - Lisa Hayse / Azonia
Knight - Max Sterling / Miriya
Bishop - Rick Hunter / Exedore
Rook - Fokker / Khyron
Pons - VTs in Battloid Mode / Battle Pods

Robotech Masters Pieces

King - Leonard / Zor
Queen - Dana Sterling / Musica
Knight - Marie Crystal / RT Master (Pick 1)
Bishop - Louie / Nova Satori
Rook - Dante / Karno
Pons - Hovertanks in Guardian Mode / Bioroids flying on Hovercraft

New Generation Pieces

King - Scott Bernard / Regis
Queen - Rook / Ariel
Knight - Lancer / Sera
Bishop - Rand / Regent
Rook - Lunk / Korg
Pons - Saber Cyclone or Annie / Invid Shocktrooper or Scout

Have the boards be a carrying case as well, and the Board face look like the logos of the series...Macross Symbol for the 1st...the Southern Cross for the 2nd...and Mars Base for the 3rd...All made from hand crafted wood and ivory for the board / case, and the pieces pewter and hand painted.

It would retail for $100-150 and I'd get all 3.

LATER, WAS THINKING OF DOING THIS MYSELF AS A PROJECT TO PLAY WITH SOME FANS HERE.

I CAN DO THIS AS A MACHINIST BUT DON'T HAVE THE PROPER SKILLS TO DO MINIATURES OF CHARACTERS YET. MINIATURES IS PRETTY HARD FOR ME. MAYBE I COULD DO MECHA. I CAN TRY BUT WOULD LIKE TO HEAR INPUT FROM OTHERS ON THE PIECES.

MECHA COULD BE USED AS RPG SETS AS WELL.

AND WHAT SIZE TOO?

When I was a kid, I thought of doing something similar, but using the 1/200 scale Macross model kits. Unfortunately, they never came out with any enemy mecha in that line, so I never actually did it...

Memo...I dont have pics to show you but I might be able to find that civil war set I was talking about..LMC
