Sounds like an interesting idea you have there memo, will there be differing categories as various works in fandom can be very broad. From fan fiction, audio drama, podcasting, fan art, cosplay, fan films and etc, I think you should iron out a list of categories to atleast give some fans an idea on where they would like to submit their works under.

JUST THAT WITH STAR WARS IN COMIC CON BACK IN THE DAY, THINGS HAD TO BE FLUSHED OUT LITTLE AT A TIME.WE CAN REALLY FOLLOW THE SAME TEMPLATE SINCE THINGS BEEN IRONED SINCE THEN. BUT MIGHT BE NEW TO THE FANDOM OF ROBOTECH.

BUT HOPE ONCE THIS THING TAKES OFF FANS CAN EASILY FIGURE THINGS OUT.

How is this coming along? Since I will be at ComiCon, I'm really looking forward to seeing it. As for awards, why not give out statues (maybe a "Golden Guardian") inscribed with the category (best fanfic, best fanart, etc.)?

Do you really think you would have a chance of winning? My best bet is to submit work under an alias for a zero-to-slim chance.


I would gladly submit some fiction for this competition if there was a secure(and clearly printed) disclaimer over the copyright of original concepts, rightfully denied by RT.com submissions.

EG: RT names/wording is rightfully respected, but the story is still the sole ownership of the author.

This will ensure that this competition/awards won't impede the sovereignty of my copyright, even if it is linked/advertised on Robotech.com.

Last thing I want is my publisher to start giving HG C&D's, jepordising my rt.com account which is so very close to getting 5000pts.
