I read through this rather quickly, and as I thought through various films, I cannot think of a cartoon to movie adaptation that was a hit, or even really did well. It doesn\'t mean that there can\'t be an exception, Hollywood just needs to realize that what makes the series, show, or whatever so good, is what it originally was, not just the name. Should this movie make it out of stagnant waters, I\'ll definitely watch it, God willing, or at least after enough reviews come through.

I've not seen it, but Space Cruiser Yamato looks like a successful cartoon to live action. It's a Japanese Space Opera, like Macross so it gives me hope that it's possible for a cartoon to transition into live action movie well.

yeah, that's because Hollywood isn't behind it, go figure
