Has anyone from HG or Toynami actually confirmed that the Shadow Beta will actually see production? Preorders are listed all the time on BBTS and they'll often push back the release date or remove the preorder completely. For example, Diamond Select's USS Excelsior toy was originally set for release in 2009, then 2010, and then BBTS put a preorder with release set for the 1st quarter of 2012 yet it still hasn't been released. The preorder isn't even on the site anymore but you can find it as "sold out" if you google it. Still, seeing the Shadow Beta released would be a nice surprise!

I understand that Tommy confirmed this at AX last night, along with the 1/100 Commander's Battlepod and new VF-1s. How long ago did they first announce the Cmd BP and new VFs anyway? Also, no plans for a MPC SDF-1.

What is the relationship with Shadow beta ?

This makes me wonder if they will release a new Shadow Fighter (Marcus variant) to match the paint scheme of the Shadow Beta shown or if they're actually gonna change the paint scheme on the released toy to match one of the already released Shadow Fighters.

It's definitely a bonus. Not sure if it replaces the missiles but I wouldn't be surprised if it can't even be attached in either mode. Remember how great Maia's Alpha hold her cannon?
