In this year, 2140, we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Earth's greatest Hero Admiral Rick Hunter. The Admiral Rick Hunter museum is releasing a select number of personal correspondence and private papers once belonging to Admiral Hunter. The following is a personal letter from Admiral Hunter to his wife Lisa, c. 2043.


Lisa,

There are no words I could say to you that would ease the pain of the loss of our child. I know how much we've both wanted this child for so long and it seems that every power in the universe has conspired against us. Through all the battles and all the loss that we've shared this above them all will be our hardest yet to bear. Just know that, as always, I will be here by your side offering you all that I am and all that I can give. I will grieve with you, cry with you, and some day smile with you as we greet a child into the universe. With all that I am I offer you that promise.

Ok, so that was just something I came up with a while back. I'd forgotten I even had it. It's not long and not much, but I figured it might be something Rick would say to Lisa. It loses a little something in the way its posted. Originally the body was hand written, but since that part couldn't be translated through it kinda feels off to me.
