doesn't really count but some of harlen ellison's short stories should be a weekly tv show. I would like to see someone take his extremely short work (more short poem length(name i have since forgotten) but the story line was about how numbers rule our life. I know harlen has been writing for tv for years. but some of his stuff makes me think.
