If you want to watch it online legally, then no, there's no place to go. There are, however, many places to, um, "acquire" it.I was watching a anime DVD UFO ultramaiden Valkyrie(the show sucked) but the previews showed Macross. It looked like the original macross. Does anyone know of anywhere online that you can watch Macross before it became Robotech? I'm not trying to start a Robotech vs Macross debate...but I have never seen the Japanese version. Thanks for any info

Or you can go te honest route and buy the DVDs. They're available at Amazon, the Robotech.com store, and many other places.

EBAY... Check out EBay... I see the box sets on their all the time... or you can find them individually.
You'll find them much cheaper then buying them through Amazon... you can find them new or used...
Give it a shot... see what you come up with..
Here's one listing... 220545419010.. and it is the original Japanese language version.

If you can snatch the one Mark Warlock linked to, that'd probably be best. Thanks for the tip Gubaba. I about had a heart attack when I saw that the box set went for $249.99 and that each volume sold for about $30. I want to watch it but not at these prices.
The problem is, there are two versions of SDFM on DVD. Theres the AnimEigo version (the one Mark Warlock mentioned above) and the ADV version.
The AnimEigo one has better sound and picture, but it's Japanese with subtitles only, and there are very few extras on it.
The ADV version has an English dub, but a lot of people including myself (but certainly not everyone) don't like it. There are also more extras, but the overall picture and sound aren't quite as good.
