Well hopefully if the film makes any progress we will have some good RT costumes out there for future holidays LOL! I know there are lots of CosPlay ones but it's more fun to look at it like this for me.

I keep hearing the reimagination process for RT is gonna look alot like Transformers did. Not sure if I like that idea. Any suggestions?

Just have to wait and see.

Thanks to a lot of the more easy-going Robotech fans, I'd say the makers of the movie have a free pass. If they stay true to the original, then they will be praised for "upholding the legend of Robotech" whereas if they make major changes and take their own path, they'll get thanked for "introducing Robotech to a new generation of fans." It's this kind of do-no-wrong mentality which has held the franchise back since its inception, and which needs to change if fans desire a respectability on any level close to what other famous SF properties possess.

Uphold the original story and risk NOT gaining all the 4year olds and techno junkies out there?

OR


Go all new and throw all of us old timers and dedicated fans aside and redo the whole story.

I'm hopeing they are smarter then that
a story that can have this much fan support with only 85 episodes and 25 years between installments should tell you something.

So what's the word on this wonderful economy stalling out production on this?

Oh i see they are still doing the live action movie! That is great. I have a tough time getting into some of the more recent sci-fi films. Too much effects and not enough drama for my taste.
