Can someone just lock this thread? Reading Mav's responses just make me roll my eyes. Most of these conclusions are pretty obvious to any grade school student. SO WHAT ARE YOU HEARING?

WHY DID MACROSS WEEKLY NOT PRINTING AGAIN? THEY DID NOT DO THEIR MARKET RESEARCH OR THEY DID AND POSSIBLY COMING OUT WITH SOMETHING BETTER. WHAT ARE YOU HEARING?

That it's simply too soon for them to be rereleasing the magazine. The first version wrapped up less than two years before, and the second version was mostly a reprint of it.

My best bet is that what's happening in the anime industry is also happening in the manga/publishing industry as well.

Based on what...? Your gut feeling? Wishful thinking? What?

Oh, f'r cryin' out loud... Are you being sarcastic again or do you you honestly think that linking to some opinion puff pieces constitutes "research"?

They'll hand out high school diplomas to basically ANYONE these days, won't they?

Did/do these magazines cover all things Macross or just the Classic stuff? Does it get into Macross Zero and such? I wish I could read or understand Japanese

AH. THANKS.

AND THE PROBLEM WAS READING JAPANESE. ONE OF THE REASONS I DID NOT BUY THEM AFTERWARDS.

Surely I don't have to explain the difference between a hard-fact piece and an opinion piece to you, do I?

That's a good point, and it begs the question...Macross managed to produce a successful, 50-issue biweekly magazine.

Why doesn't Robotech do the same? In English?

I mean...Robotech is more popular than Macross, right? And if they publish it digitally, Mav says it'll be a success, right?

So why don't they?

Because the technology required to deliver their product does not exist :P
You see Gubaba, Kevin and Tommy are such visionaries, that their ideas are way ahead of our time. Everything that they came up with is decades ahead of it's time
