Re-Reading The Sentinels - Kindle Style was created by ps99041

Just got a black and white Kindle as a gift and, since it supports JPEG files, I uploaded the entire Sentinels comic series to it. Beats having to pull my entire hardcopy collection and unbag everything to read it. Text on the image files is a bit tiny but readable in the light. 2 issues in I'm loving it but we'll see if it continues...

GREAT. WAS WONDERING ABOUT THE KINDLE AND THE USE OF ROBOTECH COMICS. I HAVE THE COMICS WRAPPED UP AND IN BOXES AS WELL. AND ALSO HAVE THE DOWNLOADED PACKET OF ALL THE COMICS. WILL GET ONE NOW SINCE IT'S BETTER TO CARRY ALL THE COMICS IN THE KINDLE AND PULL FOR RESEARCH.

I AM RE-READING THE OLD FASHION WAY BUT WOULD LIKE TO NOT OPEN THE COMICS.

PLUS MY DAUGHTER TEND TO READ A LOT OF MANGA AND BOOKS.

Yeah, reading has been going smoothly so far. 14 issues in and still enjoying the old comics. Still, why didn't the SDF-3 go to Tirol with a Zentradi escort? Anyway, you do have to refresh pages sometimes on the Kindle but it's not a big issue with me; some image files are just too big for it.

REFRESHING IS NOT THAT BAD.

AND WHY NO ZENTRADI ESCORT? IN THE SERIES THEY WERE WIPED OUT AND THE FEW THAT WERE LEFT HAD NO RESOURCES ENOUGH TO EVEN BE AN ESCORT. MICRONIZATION WOULD BE THE CASE TO MAKE UP FOR LACK OF RESOURCES.

when were they wiped out? we last saw breetai's ship during the capture of the factory satellite. Yeah, the refreshing isn't that bad especially since the kindle isn't as costly as the iPad. color pics surprisingly look ok so far but i think it's due to the waltrips simple art style. i haven't tried more detailed colored pics yet like those in US comics.

THEY WERE WIPED OUT WHEN DOLZA SHOWED UP IN FULL FORCE.

THE FEW THAT REMAINED WOULD HAVE TO MICRONIZE CONSIDERING THAT YOU CAN'T KEEP FEEDING GIANTS.

THEN AGAIN, IT WAS NOT EXPLAINED IN SENTINELS. WOULD HAVE TO SEE WHAT CLUES ARE THERE PER THE ANIMATION.

Depends on how protoculture efficient it was to macronize livestock for slaughter. Besides, do we know how the Zents fed themselves on their ships, before they ended up on Earth?

Still doesn't make sense since Breetai's ship was still around at the end of the Macross Saga and it couldn't have been the only ship to survive. Also, the RDF couldn't build or repair a mini fleet while building the SDF-3? Afterall, by the time of Southern Cross, they had tons of ships and by New Generation they had even more. I've found some other plot holes but overall it's been a nice read through (I'm at issue 15 now).

I AGREE, ROBOTECH IS FULL OF PLOT HOLES.

WE CAN GET INTO WHAT IF'S BUT IN THE END IT'S EVERYONE'S GUESS. BOOKS WENT ONE WAY, COMICS ANOTHER, FANDOM DEBATE GALORE IN THE STORY FORUM IN RT.COM. YOU GET WHAT I AM SAYING.

THEY COULD HAVE. BUT THE MOST RESOURCES WENT INTO THE SDF-3. AND THE SHELL THAT COVERED IT.

Still, I would think that The Sentinels would be relatively free of plotholes/inconsistencies since Macek wasn't restricted by preproduced, unrelated animation.

On another note, I just uploaded the 1st 2 volumes of Gundam The Origin and it looks better on the Kindle screen to me than the Sentinels. I think some of the gray washed pages by the Waltrips are just too gray washed making them too dark on the Kindle screen though still readable.
